June flew by in the blink of an eye! I spent the first week of the month down in beautiful Cornwall for a much-needed holiday 🌊☀️—but despite packing a few books, I didn’t actually manage to get much reading done (classic!).
Overall, it’s been another slow reading month, but honestly, that’s okay. Things have been super busy behind the scenes with The Book Shack, especially with new products arriving—so my energy has definitely been focused on the shop.
That said, I still managed to squeeze in a few reads here and there (and some very exciting book mail—looking at you Gold Digger 👀). I'm hoping July brings a little more reading time, but I’m also proud of what’s been happening work-wise lately.

One of the absolute highlights of my month was receiving a surprise PR box from Arndell Books featuring none other than Gold Digger by my all-time favourite author, Susie Tate! 🥹✨
This stunning new edition comes with a gorgeous redesigned cover and an exclusive matching bookmark, and I honestly squealed when I opened the package. I’ve loved Susie’s Daydreamer series for years, so getting this as part of her relaunch with Arndell felt like such a full-circle moment.
