I honestly don’t know where July disappeared to — anyone else feel like they blinked and it was gone?
It was a bit of a whirlwind month, and I only managed to read four books (two of which were rereads!). One of them had been sitting on my shelf forever, so I’m proud I finally got around to it. But the highlight of my reading month was definitely a very special early read: Outlier by Susie Tate. As soon as I saw it was coming, I literally ran to the publisher to request an early copy — and I was so lucky to be approved! I absolutely loved it.
July was hectic in the best (and most exhausting) ways. With the school year winding down, there were endless performances, final-day activities, and all the emotion that comes with my eldest finishing primary school — how is it possible they’re off to secondary in September?! I’m not okay 🥲
We also managed to squeeze in a trip to Liverpool — we’re huge football fans, so the Anfield Stadium tour was a dream come true. My daughter smile didn't fade for the whole weekend! Such an unforgettable experience!
So yes, it’s been busy, emotional, and full of memories — and even if I didn’t read a ton, July definitely delivered in other ways.

Bookish PR Mail Highlight – Outlier by Susie Tate
One of the absolute highlights of my month was receiving a surprise PR box from Arndell Books, featuring none other than Outlier by my all-time favourite author, Susie Tate! 🥹✨
This is the third book in Susie’s Day Dreamer series, and oh my gosh — I was so excited to get my hands on it. The cover is absolutely stunning, and it came with a matching bookmark that is just pure perfection. You know I’m a sucker for a good bookish detail!
I couldn’t wait to dive into Vicky and Mike’s story, and it did not disappoint. Getting an early copy of a book I was already dying to read felt like Christmas came early — I still can’t believe I was lucky enough to be chosen!
