I absolutely devoured Powerless in just two days — I literally couldn’t put it down! From the first page, I was hooked by the intense emotions, the gritty world, and the complex characters. I especially love stories that explore the tension between ordinary humans and people with powers, and this book nails that dynamic so well. Every twist had me gasping, and the slow-burn romance just added the perfect layer of tension and heart.
One of my favourite parts? The beautiful, loyal, and deeply emotional bond between Paedyn and Adena. Their friendship added so much heart to the story — it felt real, raw, and honestly had me tearing up more than once. 💔
We need to talk about the ending!! The very last sentence in the book...had me screaming, i was like i need the next book right NOW! so yea, It’s one of those books that stays with you long after you finish, and honestly, I’m still thinking about it. If you love urban fantasy with depth, you need this one on your shelf ASAP!
I’m currently reading Fearless, and a Reckless review is coming soon! Also, there’s another companion book called Powerful, based on her friend Adena’s story, which was utterly heart-breaking. That review will be coming your way too, so stay tuned!
Also, does anyone else collect different editions of the same book? Because I definitely do! I have the standard Powerless paperback, but when The Works released a new edition with those gorgeous sprayed edges, of course I had to grab it too — gotta make the shelf look extra special! 📚✨
